Savio AC assists the MAAA in the preparations for the upcoming European Championships Meeting

In light of the upcoming 2017 European Championships Third League, Savio Athletics Club recently reached out to the Malta Amateur Athletics Association (entrusted with the organisation of the event) by offering help in the preparatory stages leading to such an important date.

The MAAA gladly accepted Savio AC’s request who, in turn, thanks to the club members’ and helpers’ coordinated effort and dedication, convened for a 3-hour extra-curricular session at the Marsa track on a sunny Saturday morning.

Those present were assigned different duties to carry out maintenance works such as clearing the dirt out of the track’s water culverts, fixing of new frames, covering the fences with a fresh coat of paint and picking trash from the track’s perimeter.

After the session the team regrouped for a well-deserved lunch.
